Elon Musk said The Boring Company is working on a “simple precursor Hyperloop” between Austin and San Antonio that could cut travel time to under 30 minutes. The company said it would be “excited and honored” to build the project, though many of its previously announced tunnel plans have never materialized.

The pitch highlights Musk’s continued use of ambitious infrastructure concepts to frame long-term transportation visions, even as execution remains uneven.
