Trump says it’s time to rebrand AI with a new name — and he’s also creating an AI Force

President Trump posted on Truth Social that the term artificial intelligence is “inaccurate” and asked followers to vote on alternatives including Superior Intelligence, Extreme Intelligence, and Supreme Intelligence. He also dismissed AI safety and data center criticism as a Democratic hoax, offering no evidence while saying he would protect and support the AI industry.

The remarks signal a more openly deregulatory and promotional stance toward AI, framing oversight concerns as partisan attacks rather than policy tradeoffs. That could deepen polarization around AI governance just as data center expansion, energy use, and safety questions are becoming major state and federal issues.
