AI nuclear power firm Fermi finally has a new CEO

Fermi has appointed Lee McIntire, an independent member of its board, as CEO. The move comes more than three months after the AI nuclear power company fired co-founder Toby Neugebauer from the role.

The leadership change suggests Fermi is trying to stabilize governance as interest grows in nuclear energy for AI data center power needs. Bringing in a board insider may help reassure investors, but the company still needs to prove its execution and credibility in a capital-intensive market.
