Mobileye CEO Amnon Shashua to step aside as company pushes into robotaxis, robotics

Mobileye founder and CEO Amnon Shashua will leave the top role after nearly three decades, staying on until a successor is hired. The move comes as Mobileye pushes beyond driver-assistance chips into autonomous driving, robotaxi services, and humanoid robotics following its acquisition of Mentee Robotics.

The leadership transition lands at a pivotal moment as Mobileye tries to evolve from a supplier into an operator of mobility and robotics platforms. Its next CEO will need to balance the company’s established automotive-chip business with higher-risk bets in robotaxis and embodied AI.
