Bluesky’s interim CEO, Toni Schneider, drops the ‘interim’

Bluesky has made Toni Schneider its permanent CEO after he had been serving in the role on an interim basis. Schneider, formerly CEO of Automattic and a partner at True Ventures, says he is “all in” on the social platform.

The move gives Bluesky more stable leadership as it tries to differentiate itself from larger social networks through decentralized architecture and community-driven growth. Schneider’s background in WordPress and venture investing could help the company balance open-platform ideals with the operational demands of scaling.
