Former Infosys chief has a new startup that wants to challenge the IT services world

Vishal Sikka’s new startup, Hang Ten Systems, raised a $32 million seed round led by Mayfield to help enterprises build, modify, and operate software using AI automation. The company says it already has customers including Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Fresenius, and is hiring globally to meet demand for AI-native project delivery.

Hang Ten is targeting the core business model of traditional IT services firms by shifting work from outsourced teams to AI-driven software delivery. If enterprises adopt this approach at scale, it could pressure incumbents like Infosys while expanding demand for automation-first consulting and implementation platforms.
