Notion restores access to Anthropic after service disruption

Notion temporarily disabled all Anthropic models in Notion AI after degraded performance led to higher failure rates for users selecting Opus 4.7 and 4.8. Notion’s product head said the issue was a temporary service disruption, and Anthropic confirmed a brief infrastructure issue affecting multiple Claude models had been resolved.

The incident highlights how AI productivity tools remain dependent on the reliability of third-party model providers. As apps increasingly route core features through external LLMs, service resilience and clear status communication will become key differentiators for enterprise trust.
