Trump posts AI-edited photo to brag about White House restoration work

President Donald Trump posted Truth Social photos highlighting White House renovation work, including a before-and-after comparison of a restored column. Online observers noted visual inconsistencies, and Google's AI detector reportedly flagged the image as AI-edited.

The post shows how generative editing tools are becoming harder to separate from routine political communications. Even minor image manipulation can fuel scrutiny over authenticity, making media verification increasingly important for public figures and institutions.
