iPhone Handoff will seamlessly share one number between two phones

Apple’s upcoming iOS 27 includes iPhone Handoff, a feature for pairing two iPhones so they can use the same number. A demo in Xcode 27’s Device Hub shows setup options for designating one phone as the main device and another as its companion.

The feature appears timed for a possible foldable iPhone Ultra, giving users a way to leave a bulkier premium device behind without losing access to their number.
