EDITOR BRIEF
The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that ICE arrested Milo Yiannopoulos and deported him to the UK after he overstayed a visa. A final removal order was issued after he failed to appear for an immigration hearing in July.
COMMENTARY
The case shows that high-profile political figures are not insulated from routine immigration enforcement when visa terms are violated. It also highlights how online provocateurs tied to past US political movements can remain newsworthy even as their formal influence wanes.
