Salesforce just put its entire CRM inside Claude — and says you’ll never need its app again

Salesforce and Anthropic expanded their partnership with Claudeforce, embedding Salesforce data and workflows directly inside Claude CoWork. The new Salesforce in Claude plugin includes 37 pre-built sales skills for tasks like meeting prep, deal reviews, and pipeline analysis, with pilots starting now and an open beta planned for September.

The move signals a major shift in enterprise software toward AI interfaces that sit above traditional SaaS apps. If users increasingly work through assistants rather than dashboards, vendors may compete less on screens and more on trusted data access, workflow depth, and agentic automation.
