It looks like Apple’s iPhone 18 really will skip the fall launch this year

Apple supplier Pegatron reportedly said the iPhone 18 Pro lineup will launch this fall, while the standard iPhone 18 is expected in the first quarter of 2027. The lower-cost iPhone 18e and a new iPhone Air are also rumored for that early 2027 window, matching earlier reports of a staggered iPhone launch strategy.

A split release schedule would mark a notable shift from Apple’s traditional annual iPhone cadence, potentially giving premium models more attention during the holiday quarter. It may also help Apple smooth production, segment demand more aggressively, and use launch timing as a tool to differentiate higher-end devices from mainstream models.
