NVIDIA launches Nemotron 3.5 Lightning and NeMo Switchyard for efficient enterprise agentic AI deployments

NVIDIA expanded its Nemotron 3 family with Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, a 30B-parameter mixture-of-experts open model designed for long-running agentic AI workloads. The company also released NeMo Switchyard, an open source routing library that directs requests across open, proprietary, and NVIDIA models without requiring application rewrites.

The launch reflects a shift from single chatbot models toward model ensembles where specialized models handle different tasks inside always-on agent systems. NVIDIA is positioning open, efficient, and routable AI infrastructure as a way for enterprises to control cost, deployment location, and performance across PCs, data centers, and cloud environments.
