AWS Continuum integrates with OpenAI Codex and Anthropic Claude Code in major AI security push

AWS announced that its Continuum vulnerability platform will integrate with OpenAI Codex, Anthropic Claude Code, and its own Kiro IDE, putting security checks directly inside AI coding workflows. The company also expanded Security Hub Extended with a new supply chain security category and partners including Chainguard and Socket.

AWS is betting that the most valuable layer in AI-assisted development may be the security control plane, not the underlying model. As AI systems accelerate vulnerability discovery and exploit timelines shrink, cloud providers are racing to make security tooling native to developer workflows and enterprise procurement.
