Fenix Flexin isn’t even denying using AI to make ‘Rubberz’ anymore

Fenix Flexin appears to have admitted using AI in some capacity for his 80s-inspired track “Rubberz,” after producer Medasin claimed the song was made with Treblo, formerly Sonauto. Fenix said he “never said” he did not use AI, but maintained it had nothing to do with the recording process.

The dispute highlights growing ambiguity around AI-assisted music, where artists may distinguish between songwriting, production, vocals, and recording to frame their use of tools. As AI detectors and public scrutiny improve, musicians could face more pressure to disclose how tracks are made, especially when songs mimic recognizable genres or eras.
