Your Fitbit data can now connect directly to Apple Health

Google is rolling out an update that lets Fitbit data, including workouts, steps, and vitals, sync directly into Apple Health. Previously, users could import Apple Health data into Google Health, but exporting Fitbit data to Apple’s app required third-party tools or workarounds.

The move reduces friction for iPhone users who prefer Fitbit hardware but want their health records centralized in Apple Health. It also reflects a broader push toward health data portability, weakening platform lock-in around wearable ecosystems.
