Google might launch a ‘Pixel Tag’

Google appears to be preparing a small oval item tracker called the Pixel Tag, according to an image and a Slovenian retail listing found by 9to5Google. The listing says the device includes a speaker and uses Google’s Find Hub network, positioning it as a rival to Apple’s AirTag.

A Pixel-branded tracker would give Google a stronger first-party anchor for its location-tracking ecosystem, especially as Find Hub expands across Android devices. The move reflects a broader push by platform owners to turn device networks into everyday recovery tools for keys, bags, and other personal items.
