The FCC is preparing to use new authority to revoke approvals for devices already cleared for US sale, targeting companies it suspects are disguising DJI technology. The agency previously proposed $25,000 fines against eight alleged front companies, including brands behind Skyrover drones and Xtra cameras, and is now considering broader bans.

This would mark a significant escalation in US efforts to restrict Chinese drone technology beyond direct bans on DJI-branded products.
