Google might not kneecap the Pixel 11a with an old processor

A new leak claims Google’s Pixel 11a will use the Tensor G6, reversing the Pixel 10a’s unpopular move to an older Tensor G4 chip. The G6 is rumored to keep a similar GPU to the G5 but add a MediaTek M90 modem, replacing Samsung’s Exynos modem technology.

If accurate, Google may be restoring the Pixel A-series’ reputation for offering near-flagship performance at a lower price. The modem shift also signals a broader push to improve connectivity and efficiency, two areas where Tensor-powered Pixels have faced scrutiny.
