Apple’s reportedly raising the price for AppleCare Plus on Macs and iPads

Apple will reportedly raise AppleCare Plus subscription prices for new Mac and iPad customers by $0.50 per month or $5 per year, while existing subscribers keep current rates. Bloomberg says a 13-inch MacBook Air plan would rise from $7.49 to $7.99 monthly, following a similar AppleCare Plus increase for iPhones last year.

The move suggests Apple is continuing to nudge its services revenue higher through small recurring-price increases. Even modest hikes can compound across a large device base, reinforcing the importance of warranty subscriptions as hardware sales mature.
