Fidji Simo steps down from leading OpenAI’s AGI work due to illness

Fidji Simo said she is stepping down from her full-time role as OpenAI’s AGI chief and will transition to a part-time advisor position. The move follows her earlier medical leave for a neuroimmune condition, as well as recent leadership changes involving Brad Lightcap and Kate Rouch.
