Two-thirds of Americans think AI is advancing too quickly

A new Pew Research poll says 49% of Americans use AI chatbots at least occasionally, up from 33% in 2024, while ChatGPT usage has doubled since 2023. Despite rising adoption, 63% say AI is advancing too quickly, and only 16% expect it to have a positive impact on society.

The survey highlights a widening gap between mainstream use and public trust, suggesting AI is becoming a routine tool before social acceptance catches up.
