Valve says it’s ready to launch the Steam Machine this summer
EDITOR BRIEF
Valve said in a blog post about its hardware verification programs that the Steam Machine and Steam Frame will launch this summer. The devices were previously delayed after memory and storage shortages forced the company to revisit pricing and shipping plans.
INSIGHTS
The update suggests Valve is moving closer to a broader push into living-room PC gaming and VR hardware after supply chain uncertainty. If pricing is competitive, the launch could test whether Steam’s ecosystem can support a renewed hardware platform beyond the handheld success of Steam Deck.
