Randy Pitchford, creator of Borderlands, posted images of a watch on X that a friend reportedly found underwater while scuba diving near Saint Martin. The device’s back apparently identifies it as a Google Pixel Watch 5, an unreleased product, and it still showed the correct time despite an empty-battery indicator.

If authentic, the find would be an unusually public hardware leak and suggests Google may already be testing next-generation Pixel Watch units in real-world conditions. The incident also highlights how prototype devices can surface through unpredictable channels, complicating product secrecy for major tech companies.
