Project Glasswing says Claude Mythos Preview found 10,000+ severe vulnerabilities across critical open-source software

Project Glasswing reports that Claude Mythos Preview and roughly 50 partners have identified more than 10,000 high- or critical-severity vulnerabilities in systemically important software. The group says the main constraint has shifted from finding flaws to verifying, disclosing, and patching them safely under coordinated disclosure timelines.

The update suggests AI-assisted security research is moving from scarcity of vulnerability discovery to an operational overload problem for maintainers and defenders. If models like Mythos become broadly available, the industry will need stronger patch pipelines and disclosure processes to prevent defenders from being outpaced by attackers.
